After playing second fiddle to Mike Scott in the Waterboys for two years, singer/songwriter Karl Wallinger broke away to form World Party. Their second album, Goodbye Jumbo, overflows with rich and tasty pop created with a nod to the Beatles, Al Green, Brian Wilson, and even Fairport Convention.
